Cumulative area discounts flow through structures and network before

The cumulative area calculation discounts everything before a flow through structure and the nodes attached to the structure. LLFA's are now requesting calc files due to the print out also reading your incorrect pathing of calculations. Theirs no ...

Infiltration Half Drain time calculations

We have recently been challenged by Wiltshire LLFA regarding half drain times. As I understand it, Flow calculates the half drain time to CIRIA 156 which gives a significantly longer half drain time than the BRE365 method that Micro Drainage uses....

Compare the existing and proposed scenarios, in order to clearly demonstrate the betterment

We currently have an existing building which is due to be refurbished. As part of the proposed works, we are introducing an attenuation structure with a restricted discharge flow of 1 l/s. In the existing condition, surface water freely discharges...

Add Urban Creep locally for each area/catchment

This is especially applicable now given some areas may have 100% impermeable while other will have greenfield with a possible option to turn to impermeable. Users can also adjust Cv value locally. The design report should contain the new additions.

BIM Collaboration

Improved modelling, including building drainage so designs can be modelled to base of internal stacks within buildings to allow for greater collaboration between other design disciplines for general clash detection. Typically, Architects, Structur...

Remove Requirement for Infiltration coefficient for porous paving

If designing a lined porous paving system, you are unable to have it non-attenuating. This requirement should be removed to design it to discharge elsewhere

Highlight if the Colebrook-White or the Manning's equations is being used by highlighting (or greying out) the "ks (mm)" or "n" in the link details.

It seems that if a pipe has a swale upstream then the pipe uses the Manning's equations to compute flows etc, but if it has nothing upstream or a pipe upsteam then it uses the Colebrook-White equations. This means that on the same storm water syst...

Flow through structure Mass balance Issue

Always having mass balance issues when utilising flow through structure. It could be something from adding orifice to inlets same size as pipe, lifting/dropping structure slightly increasing/decreasing length of structure, that sorts the issue. Th...
